Why This Work Matters

I believe people are doing the best they can with the experiences, relationships, and resources they’ve had.

That belief guides the way I meet every person who walks through my door. It leads me to approach each story with gentleness, curiosity, compassion, and deep respect for the ways people have learned to adapt and survive.

It is a privilege to walk alongside individuals, couples, and families as they reconnect with themselves, strengthen their relationships, and move forward with greater clarity, connection, and intention.

I Didn’t Always Know I Would Become a Therapist

My path began in the world of ballet, where I spent many years as a dancer and instructor. Later, I built  a career in the corporate world before eventually finding my way into the field of mental health.

Each chapter deepened my appreciation for the complexity of being human and continues to shape the therapist I am today.

What drew me to therapy wasn't simply a desire to help people. It was a deep curiosity about how our experiences and relationships shape who we become.

The Path That Brought Me Here

My years as a dancer taught me discipline, resilience, and the pursuit of excellence.

My time  in the corporate world gave me a firsthand understanding of the pressures many professionals quietly carry – the drive to perform, the difficulty in asking for help, and the cost of “having it all together.”

My work as a life coach affirmed my belief in people's capacity for change while revealing my desire to support people at a deeper level. Today, I offer both therapy and coaching as distinct services, each suited to a different kind of support. I describe the difference in more detail on the Who I Help page.

My own journey taught me how easily we can become disconnected from our own innate sense of knowing while trying to meet expectations, and navigate life's demands.

This deepened reverence continues to shape the way I meet each person who comes to therapy. These experiences ultimately led me to pursue a master’s degree in counseling psychology and become a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, where I found the depth of therapeutic work I had been seeking.
